Artistang Artlets members once again made it to the Virgin Labfest’s (VLF) Writing Fellowship Program for the third time since it opened its doors to aspiring writers a few years ago.
Season 37 senior member Lloyd Alcedric Opalec and Season 36 alumnus Miko Jan Portes were two of the 10 lucky hopefuls who were chosen among hundreds of entries from aspiring writers nationwide. The two underwent an intensive workshop for two weeks from July 4 until July 16, 2017.
The fellowship capped off with a showcase that featured 10 one-act plays including “Ang Digmaan sa Dalampasigan ng Maktan” written by Opalec and “Dulce dela Rosa as ‘Dulce dela Rosa’ in The Dulce dela Rosa Story” written by Portes.
Truly, AA homegrown talents continue to amaze us all.
